I don't know how accurate the timer is but it is definitely visually stimulating and helps calm the mind. We have put it in our "calming box" however it's already cracked from being dropped. Will need to order another, but this one is much sturdier than the hourglass shaped liquid timer and is much better for school age kids. Both my sensory seeking and sensory avoidant children love it.
Ny grandson enjoyed the timer but unfortunately banged it onto something hard and it leaked🥲. I had to throw it away unfortunately.
My kids and I love this little liquid timer. But my kids may love it a little bit too much. It has been carried around and dropped on the floor. With every drop on the floor a little more air is sucked into the timer. It is beautiful to look at, but kids should not be carrying it around and rough play is going to wreck it.
